We are the place for boys and girls and we satisfy the age-old desire of young people to have a "club" of their own. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley is staffed by full-time and part-time Youth Development Professionals. Additionally, this team of professionals are supplemented by passionate and caring volunteers. We require no proof of good character. We help and guide girls and boys who may be in danger of acquiring, or who already have acquired, unacceptable habits and attitudes, as well as those of good character. It is our mandate that all girls and boys can afford to belong and even the least interested will not be deterred from joining.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley, we value diversity. We are a place for all boys and girls of all races, religions, and cultures. Our programs and activities are conducted in the warm, friendly atmosphere of facilities especially designed for youth programs. Additionally, we have an open-door policy. The Club is open to all members at any time during hours of operation. Another characteristic that sets the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley apart is that we offer varied and diversified programs that recognizes and responds to the collective and individual needs of girls and boys. Lastly, the Club is guidance-oriented. The Club emphasizes values inherent in the relationships between young people, their peers, and adults. We help boys and girls make appropriate and satisfying choices.
WHAT IS THE COST OF MEMBERSHIP?
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Diablo Valley makes it simple and affordable for all youth to join. The cost of membership to the Club is $24 for an annual membership. This membership allows youth to access the Club during hours of operation, participate in all programs and onsite activities, have opportunities to develop and sustain meaningful relationships, and receive a daily meal.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The hours of operation for the school year are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Wednesday
1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We accommodate early release or minimum day schedules; hours of operation for these days are 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
During the summer, hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Please note that we are closed all holidays and school closure days such as teacher in-service days.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Membership is simple; all it takes is the completion of a membership registration form, a brief orientation, and payment of the $24 annual membership fee. We will not refuse membership to individuals with the inability to pay the membership fee. Click here for a membership form.
